The cheapest cars to fuel
Gas and hybrid cars ranked by estimated yearly fuel cost — lowest first. The Lucid Air Pure with 19 inch wheels tops the list at about $360/year. Based on 146 MPG combined, 15,000 miles a year, at $3.50/gallon.
How this is calculated
Annual fuel cost = (15,000 miles ÷ combined MPG) × $3.50/gallon, using each model's most recent EPA combined rating. Hybrids dominate the top of the list. Your real cost depends on local gas prices and how much you drive — see any model's MPG page for its own number.
